Thank you to the CB Danforth brokers who volunteered at the Marysville Food Bank’s annual “Toy Store”. This program provides toys for families who may not otherwise be able to afford them. The families get to “shop” for their children from items donated. This year there were 1,200 children signed up for the event. CB Danforth was proud to be an event sponsor and also so thankful for the volunteers who helped make this holiday season a bit brighter for these families.
The Highline Kiwanis Club held their annual toy drive for Christmas. The toys they collect are then donated to the Burien/Normandy Park Fire Department. Danforth in the Community was very pleased to help support their efforts. Funds were donated that were used to purchase toys for this drive.
For the past four years, in lieu of holiday parties, CB Danforth’s Management, Brokers and Staff decided to spread true holiday spirit by “adopting” families in need for the holidays. Each office is given funds and they select the families to assist and then purchased and deliver gifts, food, gift cards and other items to help make the holiday season a little brighter for these families.
For the past two years, CB Danforth has provided a holiday meal with all the trimmings and gift bags with toiletries, treats and gift cards for men residing in the transitional housing program through the Federal Way Multi-Service Center. These men are working hard to get their lives back on track and we are pleased to have been able to bring some holiday cheer to them.
